Bohol Land Tour

Here's the second installment of my Bohol trip. If you haven't read my first post you can see it here.

Well, Bohol was my first out of town trip outside Luzon way back 2010. It was my first ride of an airplane. Since I truly enjoyed this travel adventure succeeding trips happened in different places around the Philippines including other parts Asia.

Seeing our itinerary prepared by our colleague made me feel so much stoked. I was nervous of the airplane ride nevertheless, I'm a lot more excited.

Straight from Tagbilaran airport, we headed directly to our land tour. Our first stop was at blood compact monument.
Then we visited the Baclayon Church. It was built since 1727. It is the oldest coral stone in the region and one of the oldest in Asia and foremost best preserve jesuit-built churches in the Philippines. Picture taking inside is prohibited.

We were blessed that we were able to see this bell tower as is, whole and solid because the earthquake that did hit Bohol last 2013 almost destroyed this spot and they just tried to rebuild it.

As they say: you have not been to Baclayon if you have not seen the museum so we  maximize our visit and explore the museum.

Then we visited the Tarsiers, I just wasn't able to take pictures of them. Camera flash isn't allowed for it might be harmful for their eyes. I have wrong thought about their size because in person they are tiny creatures.

We had our buffet lunch in the famous Loboc River Cruise. It's a long river cruise and floating restaurant.

There's a stop over where their locals were entertaining. You can take pictures with them.

And of course, Bohol tour wouldn't be complete without dropping by to their renowned Chocolate Hills. The color of the hills turn into brown during dry season just like the color of a chocolate.

You need to climb more than 200 stairs to reach the viewing deck. It's tiring but fun. You can stop & rest from time to time.

One of our jump shot

We have visited also the Butterfly Garden where you can see hundreds of butterflies and you can hold them as well. You will  be refreshed with regards to the stages of butterfly.

Along the road we stopped and took photos with this man made forest.

Crossing the hanging bridge is somewhat daunting but we never let the chance skip without passing through the bridge. You will see souvenir shops on the other side.

Lastly, we have visited the Phyton. It is too huge and scary but others managed to take a picture beside it. You can also see other animals in the place. I was just busy sight seeing that I didn't take  picture.

After this tour we were exhausted but at the end of the day, an extraordinary experience will remain in our hearts.
