My homebaking business: Jelisecious

 

Hooray! It's been quite a looong while of blog hiatus. I actually forgot about this online space of mine yet my heart knows that there's a need to go back home-right here. 

Anyway, this pandemic has opened new door to put up my own homebaking business named after my daughter Jelise, it's "Jelisecious."

Jelise's 1st birthday

Time flown so fast and my daughter, Jelise turned one year old just like that. Well, I'm inclined towards a colourful childish themed party so I chose candy land theme for her. I did the planning and I'm so blessed that my husband supported me all the way. I've always wanted a picturesque backdrop and lively decors where people will feel light and happy as they enter the dainty venue.

Wedding Anniversary Celebration

Last April 17, we'd celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. Usually, we go on a trip for special occasion but this time it fell on a holy week and we are working in a budget so we just decided to spend the day simply with our favorite thing: spa and dinner. We don't go for vacation during holy week as we observe it.

2018: The year of unfolded miracle

And I'm back!!!....

Well, it's been a year since I had a post on this blog. I thought already that this corner will be abondoned but something inside me urge the need to go back. Many times I wanted to compose but I just don't have much time for I was busy taking care of my little one until I missed my online diary so much. I missed writing my thoughts and sharing my feelings. And it feels good to be back. Yey!

Birthday Thoughts: Beautiful & Grateful

As another year of life opened up to me, I wanted to take a little time to spend over  my musing. I agree in the quote ''Train your mind to see the good in everything'' so I exercise as much as I can to be more optimistic instead of dwelling on the negativeness. Somehow, I've learned to see things positively, that there's a good reason behind things we didn't want to happen and to have positive thoughts in order to attract positive results.

Days Hotel Tagaytay: Wedding Preparation & Reception Venue

Almost every woman already had in mind about her dream wedding. Perhaps, a destination wedding which has been a trend nowadays. Me? Of course I do. My husband and I are both Catholics so I knew definitely that our wedding ceremony will be conducted inside the Church but I wanted our reception to be held outdoor, preferably a garden one because I always wanted to be with nature. I find it good whenever I attended a celebration in an open area much more with a beautiful surrounding.

Everyday We Are Blessed

There were times that I tend to overlook the different blessings that surrounds me probably because I put so much attention to what is not yet in my life, something that I've been pleading to be an answered prayer. And with that, sometimes graces that is poured on me became imperceptible.

Daily Dose of Gratitude

Since last year, I want to make it a point to have the sacrament of confession atleast once every annum. And because it's lenten season there's always a "Kumpisalang Bayan" scheduled in each Parish.

Just a while ago I had a confession in our Church. The priest told me that this season of Lent is not all about prayer & fasting but also focusing on gratitude. He mentioned on our conversation that sometimes we focus on things that we do not have which makes us unhappy. We find it hard to become happy with the victory of others because what they have is exactly the same thing we long to ourselves but there are so much blessings that we should be grateful for.  There are people who have much more than we do but on the other hand, there are also who have less. Yes, very true.

A note to self while waiting..(bible verses)

Well, I've just heard a news wherein someone dear to me already got something that I too been praying for myself and longing for quite some time now. My friend has it now whilst me, still hoping and waiting for it to come and that made me so upset though I know I shouldn't. I should be happy instead and this feeling is so strange why I felt this way. Maybe I just got so pressured that my time has not yet come forgetting that God works for our good and that he Has his own timetable in which His timing is perfect. I almost cried so before getting a bit disheartened I tried searching for bible verses that will uplift my mood.

Skywalk Extreme Adventure

When we checked in at Crown Regency Hotel in Cebu City, this activity of Skywalk is free of charge for guests so we grabbed the opportunity for this one of  a kind experience. It was conducted at 37th floor of the Hotel. We availed the adventure at the evening. It was so windy that night and it made me somewhat difficult to ramble because I felt that I was being swayed by the wind. I don't have fear of heights but I was nervous, it was my first time to be in that highest peak. 

What do I love about blogging?

One day, I accidentally browsed a fashion blog and eventually I regularly read the updates until I follow another blogs. Suddenly, I felt an urge to have my own blog too so when I've heared about the free blogging on blogspot.com from my colleague, I started to create my own right away and explored it myself.
