Hundred Islands

It's beautiful. It's on an island, so it's kind of special. -Stephanie Whitmore

If you want to go for an island hopping adventure, Hundred Islands in Alaminos Pangasinan can be in your first list. It is composed of 124 islands during high tide and 123 islands if low tide. If you are in Luzon, there's no need for plane ticket, just a 5-6 hour travel and you'll reach another must see attraction in the Philippines.

In celebration of our first wedding monthsary, my brother-in-law treated us for a quick trip to Hundred Islands as his post wedding gift to us. He provided the accommodation and tour but because the transportation going to Alaminos wasn't included in the package, we need to go there ourselves by commute. We didn't book our bus tickets ahead so we headed to Cubao bus terminal of Victory Liner, it was a Friday night and unfortunately, there were no more seats available for my husband and I. We walked around the area and looked for another bus terminal and we found the Dagupan Bus. There we rode in order to get to Pangasinan. We arrived at 4:00 a.m. in Alaminos bus stop and we waited for our tourist guide to fetch us. Since it was still dark, we went first to the house of our guide to wait until the morning comes because our island hopping will start around 7:00 a.m.

It was an exclusive tour only for the two of us.

Our first stop was at Century Cave wherein there are lots of bats. There was no other tourist aside from us and I was a bit frightened of how it looks. Nevertheless, at least we had a chance to stepped into that Island.

Governor's Island is the most picturesque of all as it is the viewing deck. We also catched up some tents scattered at the sand that were used for camping by other tourists.

Next we headed to a small island named Old Scout Island. At first, I felt like the island was private for it was only the two of us at the moment and our boatmen. Later on, some tourists came along. I like the beach in here.

Then we went to Quezon Island where we had our lunch. We didn't have our baon for lunch so we just ordered our food in the store. If you are going with group of people, you can have your packed lunch and eat somewhere in a shady spot or dining areas just like having picnic. It was too hot yet this big island was very crowded. They also offer zip line here to add enjoyment of your stay.

We also went to another cave which is in Cuenco Island. At the back of the cave are dining stores and the pristine water.

We wallowed in another awesome destination and stunning sights of Hundred Islands.
