It's summer once again and is the best time for an outing and bonding. Usually, when you're thinking to go in the beach the first thing that comes to mind is Batangas. Well, it is really accessible of you're in Manila. So, here are the beaches I've been in Batangas which is much cheaper:
1. One Laiya Beach Resort
Brgy. Laiya Ibabao, San Juan, Batangas
We went here for a day tour barkada outing. A fine sand beach that kids will also enjoy wherein they can play.
2. Justos Vineyard Beach Resort
Brgy. Nagsaulay, San Juan Batangas
It was one summer weekend when we went for a day tour family outing. We were supposed to go in a resort in Laiya but to our surprise, it was fully booked and we tried to look for other nearby resorts but they also couldn't accommodate us until after searching we ended up here. We thought we will no longer pursue our outing but thank God thru its signage, we found this newly opened resort. We didn't expect that the public resorts will be fully booked on that day. We were just walk-ins so it became a lesson learned to always make a reservation prior to scheduled outing. This is a bit different from the usual beach since it has mangroves and in case of low tide, you may opt for swimming pool. It is also now a go-to venue for prenup shoot. We've stayed in the nipa hut that has one bed and table for picnic.
3. Matabungkay Beach
Lian, Batangas
Another popular resort in Batangas. Since I was a kid I already heard the name of the resort and we also had a family outing then.
But this time, we went on a day tour with my colleagues at work. At first, when I saw the beach it didn't look so good to me because the balsa with kubo were scattered in the water. It seemed crowded. We went on for a walk to look for an area without balsa and eventually we also rented one of it and it was actually fine to stay, eat and just relax in there, it served as our cottage afloat in the water.
4. La Sueña Brisa Beach Resort & Events Place
Brgy. Nonong Casto, Lemery Batangas
We went here together with my husband's relatives for a day tour. We weren't impressed by the beach because it has few waterlilies at that time and there were boats in the beach in line awaiting for those who would want for an island hopping. Upon checking as of this writing, the neatness of the beach were improved but they have better swimming pool and nice facilities. Many companies chose the resort where their team building will be held. They also have a function room for events.
